Experiencia negativa: My doctor recommended this facility for physical therapy that I needed. On the day of my appointment, the receptionist refused to see me because I was 12 minutes late. I explained to the receptionist that I was late because I had trouble finding the address and looking for parking, as it was my first visit. He insisted that I reschedule the appointment instead. I was in significant discomfort and had waited three weeks to get to this appointment. I accept full responsibility for being late. I was willing to be seen for just 45 minutes; however, my explanation and pleas for understanding seemed to fall into deaf ears. The staff did not demonstrate care or sensitivity towards their clients, which led to a negative impression during my first visit. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I thought I was going to have to have exstensive surgury done on my ankle before I could walk without pain again, but they were able to build back my muscle in a safe but challenging way. Everyone was so supportive and ready to explain anything and everything. They were kind enough to manually massage my muscles since I wasn't comfortable with dry needling. Amazing experience! Definitely my #1 physical therapy experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I began seeing Katherine when I was almost halfway through my pregnancy for pelvic floor PT and she was knowledgeable and so helpful. I believe my delivery was as smooth as it was partially because of the work we had done together to prepare for it. I came back to see Katherine after giving birth to continue pelvic floor PT. She listened and adjusted my exercises every week depending on how I was feeling. I have recommended this PT office to many people because they are great people!

The staff are personable and incredibly knowledgeable and creative. They will push their clients to ensure positive end results all while listening attentively to individual needs and fears. Physical Therapy is tough work but it was much more enjoyable in their environment. I would and do recommend them to any and all in need of PT. 5 stars +++!!! Experiencia fantástica: I was hesitant about doing PT for my lower back pain but it totally changed my quality of life. Katherine was so amazing! She took time to really understand what was going on with my body and the exercises she had me do got rid of my everyday pain and made it so that if I ever did have an issue (like after moving my sofa) it only lasted a few hours versus the days I would have been down before. She also got me to try dry needling which I am now a huge believer in. Can’t recommend this place enough. They make the process fun and it really works!

I went for pelvic floor PT during my third trimester of pregnancy and Catherine is so awesome and knowledgeable, I will be returning postpartum! If you’re pregnant or postpartum and considering PT, look no further. Catherine offers dry needling as well which I found very affective when my lower back was seizing up. Grace at the front desk is so friendly and helpful, Christian is awesome floating around keeping everything moving, and just the general banter and dynamic of the providers with not only their patients but also each other is really sweet/entertaining. Incredible vibes. Also I totally meant to write this review last year oh no!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This a great place for pelvic floor PT - which is something all expecting mothers should give a go if they’re able. Katherine is knowledgeable and attentive PT with a friendly, relaxed personality that immediately put me at ease. She took the time to hear my concerns initially, thoroughly evaluate me in a way that respected my boundaries and developed a targeted plan with regular progress checks. She always took the time to explain the physiological reasoning for my unique situation and why we did certain movements. I looked forward to my sessions and made measurable progress throughout several months of treatment in preparation for the birth of my third child. The other PTs are also pros, their assistants are helpful, and Grace at the front desk is communicative and friendly with scheduling and payment. Ill be back for future PT after baby!

Experiencia fantástica: After my major knee surgery, I spent six months doing physical therapy here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every time I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile. You can truly feel how much the team cares about their work, even on their busiest days. The whole team was not only extremely professional but also incredibly encouraging. They regularly adjusted my exercise plan as I improved, and despite my language barrier, they always took the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I understood. Their mix of expertise, patience, and positive energy made a huge difference in my recovery. I’ve been to several physical therapy clinics in the past, but this one has been the best by far. I highly, highly recommend them!

Experiencia negativa: I visited this PT office after giving birth in 2021. My insurance referred me for pelvic floor physical therapy to support healing and recovery postpartum. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and felt like a complete waste of time. I genuinely got more benefit from Pilates and my own at-home care than anything offered here. I shared this feedback with them directly and am also posting it publicly so others can make an informed decision. From my very first appointment, I expressed that consent was very important to me and that I needed to be asked before anyone put their hands on me. Despite saying this, the therapist immediately began examining me with a quick “I’m just going to…” right after I had communicated that preference. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable. I also explained that from constantly hunching over to breastfeed, my upper back and chest were tight and aching. Instead of offering stretches or treatment, they had a very young staff member—who was not a lactation consultant and had never breastfed or given birth—come over to tell me how I should sit up straighter while nursing at night. It wasn’t helpful or supportive. I tried giving them another chance, but the next visit I was told to lie on a table, take deep breaths, and do Kegel exercises—then the therapist walked away to talk to others while I just laid there unattended. The environment was loud, with casual conversations between therapists and other clients, and I felt like my time and needs were not taken seriously. As a new mom leaving my newborn at home to seek healing, this was incredibly frustrating. After two or three visits, I stopped going entirely. The experience left a lasting negative impression of pelvic floor PT for me, which is especially sad because I had torn during birth and truly needed help. I ultimately found better healing through Pilates instead. I would not recommend this practice to other moms. In my experience, the care was inattentive, unprofessional, and not supportive of postpartum recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to the clinic for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and upper extremitiy parethesia, rounded shoulders (poor posture) and recovering from muscle wasting from GLP-1 medication use. I also have a hypermobile EDS, Autism/ADHD- and was in the middle of a severe mental and physical burnout at the time. This is important to note because it means I needed some accommodations in order to be able to complete my therapy, both physically (such as gentler stretches, extra gradual increase due to hEDS susceptibility to injury) and also accomodations for my communication differences and at times anxiety/emotional understanding. My pain tolerance significantly lowers when I am in mental burnout and vise versa. I worked with Katherine from day 1 and it was an absolute refreshing experience. Katherine listen to me, I felt heard. Having chronic pain and sensory processing problems, trying to verbalize my experience to a medical professional is very hard- but Katherine knew exactly how to help me, what questions to ask to help me interpret my pain sensations (this is something that is extra difficult, in my Autistic experience). When I first started in June, I could barely carry my groceries inside in one trip (and we all know the game we play with ourselves to strive to bring all the groceries in one trip! Haha!) Today, I am stronger than ever- and can take my groceries from the car in one trip! I am more motivated to continue my at home exercises because of my experience with Ivy Rehab. She taught me what to do and WHY it will help. I feel better physically, myental health improved as well. Katherine was an integral part of my burnout-recovery. Honestly the whole team there is so welcoming and you feel like youre in a place among friends. You can really sense the medical staff is a supportive cohort that works together, and they actually care about you. P.s Shout out to Grace for being a super efficient and awesome receptionist. She answers and replies quickly, and takes the time to explain answers for any questions you have. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone- in particular, clients who have any type of neuro-divergecies, sensory processing issues, or learning impairments of anykind. P.s.s Also, consider trying the dry needling trigger point treatment really does help muscle tightness and knots.

I was depressed and ready to give up, when my surgeon recommended Ivy Rehab on Granby Street in Norfolk, VA. Josh Zajac turned everything around. He has an easy-going, but highly professional manner. His evaluations, new approaches and ultrasound therapy have me back to my long walks, and getting my garden gorgeous. The entire staff is excellent. The environment is relaxed and supportive. If you want to feel better in every way, from attitude to getting your groove back this is your one stop PT shop.

I saw noticeable improvements in my exercises each week and a steady decline in pain. When i first started coming here i didnt think it was going to help with the pain in my knee. But Patrick was sure when could fix it. Patrick, with the help of Christian, were able to help me learn many different exercises to assist in making my knee (and the areas around my knee) stronger. All of the employees here are friendly and lively. They made coming here fun. If I had to get therapy again, i would be choosing Ivy over anything else.

Experiencia fantástica: Patrick is the star of the show, Michael keeps the pillowcases so fresh you could eat off them, Samantha stabs me with needles (but hey, no more inflammation), Josh diagnosed my shoulder, and Patrick swooped in to save the day. Experiencia fantástica: Kathryn was the main physical therapist I worked with. She was very thorough in her assessment of seeing what I could do and helped me regain my strength in my lower body on top of alleviating my pain through stretching and dry needling. The whole team’s (Kat, Pat, Chris, Josh, and Grace) personalities make the environment very welcoming and I could always get a laugh when I’m there. I’m happy that I’m better but if I weren’t, this is where I would want to go. They have multiple locations, but I know those employed off of Granby will get you right.

Experiencia fantástica: First and foremost the whole staff is amazing. I came in with soo much pain and minimal range of motion. Grace got me all set up and signed in she is truly her name. I came in with soo many emotions but she handled everything with grace. My therapist Josh is awesome he pays attention to every detail. I can tell him what pains were going on and Josh instantly knew exactly what I was talking about, and provided stretches to help in the areas of concern. Josh you are so professional thank you for your hard work. (Give him a raise) Hands down this is the best place to receive therapy and recover from injury or surgery. Christian is an angel always there to assist and pick up where is needed. Oh and even though you have to put in some work to get results Christian always comes with either the heat or ice to ease the muscles that have been worked. Katherine omg what can I say she is the dry needle whisperer. I told her where the pain is constantly radiating and she didn't hesitate to go in and do her magic. To tell you the truth I was against it at first and now I encourage anyone to try it out. Especially if you have a stubborn pain that won't go away. Katherine will knock it out the the body. Thank you soo much. Last but definitely not the least Patrick. Ohhh Patrick what can I say he's what you call tough love. He's smart, he keeps you in a positive mood he lightens the load of the pain that we come in with and plays no games when it's time to put the work in. Keep up the excellent work Patrick. I wish all of you good health and prosperity. It takes a lot to deal with people in there worst state of pain and give the kindness, understanding, and outstanding physical therapy. Joshua did a thorough evaluation if nt shoulder to determine my problem, and got me started on 2 exercises to also do at home before next week's appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here for an ACL First I thought it was a waste of time, same routine everyday. Same stretches, same terminology, same workouts. I was getting irritated, felt like I was wasting my money. After a while I actually started seeing progression. A lot of people worked on my knee, but the one that stood out was Patrick. He took the time to one learn my name but learn you as an individual. I am 5 months from surgery and feeling like myself again. ACL isn’t a easy surgery to come back from but with Ivy Rehab in 5 months Im already cutting, sprinting, and jumping! Confidence is a lot better thanks to them.
