3 months ago Experiencia negativa: Dr. Walker is no longer employed at this location, she was— by far, the best practitioner at this location treating my partner. I googled around and found that Dr. Walker has her own practice called “Prime Performance Chiro” in Pasadena off Lawrence Ave— and she sees patients in private practice now! I inquired about Dr. Walker during our appointment here and they wouldn’t let me know where she’d gone, so I found her myself! If you’re a Dr. Walker regular she accepts appts through her website, which is impeccable; she does ACTUAL chiropractic work, offers 30, 60, 90 minute deep tissue and adjustment sessions. We just booked with her and will be following her on her endeavors and abandoning the joint.

Based upon your username, we believe that you are a friend of Dr. Walker and are writing this review on her behalf. We ask that you reconsider posting a misleading review on our page and wish both you and Dr. Walker the best. However, Dr. Megan Walker was removed from The Joint- Pasadena for complaints and actual reviews like the following:
"I've been going to this location for years and never had a problem until yesterday with Dr. Megan Walker. I told her I had a rib out of place and that it had gone out before and it was really hard to get back in. The only person that could fix it in the past was my husband. She worked on my back and neck (strongly). When finished, I told her my rib was still out, and without turning around she said, "Good luck". When I asked what she recommended for my rib, she told me to have my husband do it. I was shocked! I mean, what?!? If my husband was still with me, I would not have wasted my last visit going to the Joint! Duh!!! I don't know if I offended her in some way, but damn! The last time I had this rib out, the chiropractor I saw there was very friendly and tried every way to help. Dr. Walker was rude and dismissive. I'm not sure I want to go back now."

5 months ago Experiencia fantástica: I have had The Joint monthly membership for about 5 years now. I just have it incase I feel a need for adjustment. I was recently in an accident so I've been going to an outside chiropractor which also offers therapy. I had to go to Houston for a week so I was looking for a chiropractor outside there which has therapy. Come to find out, many chiropractors in Texas won't see you unless you have an attorney referral. I went to The Joint at Gulfgate and I was absolutely unimpressed with the Dr. And her "skills". She could not adjust me if her life depended on it. The next day I went in search for a Dr. who could help. I ended up at this office in Pasadena. I met Dr. Faries and WOW WOW WOW. With his 35+ years of chiropractic skills and knowledge, he adjusted me better than I had ever been adjusted. He was extremely friendly, talkative, personable, and knowledgeable. I knew Dr. Faries only worked every other day. Since I needed care, I went back to this office the following day to see Dr. McKinley. Again, wow wow wow. Dr. McKinley with his 35+ years of expierence, also adjusted me quite well. He too was extremely friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I have never been adjusted as well as Dr. Faries and Dr. Mckinley adjusted me. The total experience was amazing. By mid week, I didn't feel as tight as I did before going to these Doctors. I highly recommend this office. Drive out of your way if you must. Completely worth it. I'm just sorry they are 1,500 miles away from my house. Any future chiropractor I see will have a lot to live up to.

10 months ago Experiencia negativa: I signed up for the first month paid for my four visits, and then asked if it was a reoccurring charge and I was told no come the end of the month. There is a charge on my account pending for February when I called and asked why she said when you first sign up the first two months are reoccurring, I told her that’s not what you told me I said so you basically lied to me because I asked if it was a reoccurring charge and when you’re not expecting it to come out of your account it throws off your bills so basically I feel like I got ripped off Because that was not explained to me the chiropractic Service is good, but the customer service was not so good because I was lied to

With each adjustment I feel my overall posture improve and all those aches and pain of balancing work and life are gone. The Joint has allowed me to maintain a chiropractic regimen. 11 months ago Experiencia negativa: Barely adjusts anything but my neck every-time I come to this location. I have given it the benefit of the doubt but probably will have to travel to another location. Every time I visit Houston they are able to adjust my neck, upper back and lower. Every time they have tried to adjust my lower back I was scared! It almost felt like they were about to injure me due to rushing the position I was laying in.

When I first visited him, I could barely walk to the adjustment table. Week after week, I entrusted my care to him, and he took great care of me. Thanks to his expertise, I can now walk and move with ease, completely pain-free. I understand that healing takes time and guidance. There were times when I didn't follow his advice—I can be a bit stubborn! But I eventually realized that doing what he suggested was crucial for my recovery. I relied on his skills, and now, after 10 years of treatment, I continue to see Dr. McKinley weekly to maintain my progress. It has become a way of life for me, and I always look forward to my appointments with him and Izzy. 1 year ago Experiencia negativa: I walked in there with a really back pain and came out feeling worse. $45 gone in seconds just to make me feel way worse. The lady that popped my back was rude and extremely rough. She said she wouldn’t work on me anymore because I was very sensitive. Like hello ma’am you are hurting me! Never going back! All they care about is taking your money!!

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: I've been going to this location for years and never had a problem until yesterday with Dr. Megan Walker. I told her I had a rib out of place and that it had gone out before and it was really hard to get back in. The only person that could fix it in the past was my husband. She worked on my back and neck (strongly). When finished, I told her my rib was still out and without turning around she said, "Good luck". When I asked what she recommended for my rib, she told me to have my husband do it. I was shocked! I mean, what?!? If my husband was still with me, I would not have wasted my last visit going to the Joint! Duh!!! I don't know if I offended her in some way, but damn! The last time I had this rib out, the chiropractor I saw there was very friendly and tried every way to help. Dr. Walker was rude and dismissive. I'm not sure I want to go back now.

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: I really liked this place but they said I only needed 2 months to get treated and everything would be done so tell me why they charge me for a 3rd month and I called and they said I had to come in person to cancel it even though they never even said anything about that and won’t give my money back.
1 year ago Experiencia negativa: Came here to consult on how I can go about treating my lower hip pain due to an accident. The doctor asked if I had any questions after he popped my back, and I asked how I can go about treating my hip, and how I can resolve this issue, if I would need MRI ect. He said his job isn’t to “fix an accident he didn’t cause”” I could have a permanent issue due to me causing this by some freak accident” and that he can only give temporary relief. He said if I wasn’t holding trays wrong at my job it wouldn’t be so bad, and that surgery couldn’t fix this, he didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. It seems rude to tell someone they will deal with an issue forever when he had no scans and doesn’t know what issue I’m even having. Not to mention he asked if it felt better after popping and I said no, and he said well your feet position looks better so I’m gonna say yes? Why even ask! He was not personable and very rude. I would never go back to this place. Threw away his stupid “treatment plan” this place is a money grab!

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: First visit today and I feel great so far. The office is nice and Izzy was very informative, helpful and sweet. A lot of places want to rush you off the phone or don’t take the time to listen to you but they really took the time to listen and explain everything. As a first timer I was a little nervous but they made me feel comfortable. Dr Walker did my adjustment and she was great. Immediately was able to point out which side was causing the most issues in my neck and I’m feeling so much better. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: This location is awesome. Izzy is all about customer service and is so friendly every time I come in. That right there deserves 10 stars. Dr. Walker is my savior. My pain was at an 8 and after just a few visits I was down to prob a 2 pain level. So thankful for this location and their awesome staff.

My fiancé expressed to her that it was her first time and that she was scared/nervous. To which Mary replied, “Why are you even here then!”? She made my fiancé never want to go back, ever! Terrible experience!
2 years ago Experiencia fantástica: I’m a member in Utah and here on work training. I stopped by and was able to get an adjustment very easily from my membership. Sleeping on a hotel bed, my body needed it. Thank you Joint for making my stay in Houston more pleasant!
