Experiencia fantástica: I came in with an overuse running injury of the hamstring. Becca was realistic with me in the time to recover and helped me be patient. She was amazing to work with…she listened well, helped me build back my strength and adapted and tried things that worked best for me. we got to root causes of the injury very early on, and I have a great plan building strength and am training in a much better and smarter way that’s already improved my running and health. Lastly, she was very flexible and understanding from a scheduling standpoint, which really allowed me to keep making progress with a very busy travel schedule. Thank you! it took a while to recover, but I never thought this would not only get me back to running, but take me to the next level of my running performance.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had surgery for a torn labrum in my left shoulder. I went the Cascade clinic and worked with Zac. He knew exactly which exercises and areas to target in order to strengthen my shoulder and gain back mobility. Thanks to Zac, I will be able to get back to triathlons this summer, and back up to speed with my weight training programs. I’m so grateful for their knowledge and support!!

Carolyn was able to diagnose my issue efficiently and in just 5 sessions (and exercises at home) I am feeling a world of difference. Physical therapy is truly magical. Experiencia fantástica: Anna Ballard was such a help for my wife as she journeyed through her first pregnancy. With her skill and knowledge, she helped my wife manage her back pain, improve her flexibility and strength to promote a healthy delivery, and gave clarity to the uncertainty ahead. She did all this while being incredibly encouraging. My wife and I are so grateful for Anna, and we are looking forward to getting back with her in a few weeks for post-partum care.

Experiencia fantástica: I was having TMJ problems. If you have this problem, you know what it's like. I spoke with my dentist and a local dental specialist. Ultimately, I went to the University of Michigan oral surgery department in Ann Arbor. Everyone was nice, but the TMJ problem continued. The U of M Physician's Assistant, who did my initial evaluation, recommended I try physical therapy. I was skeptical. Finally, a neighbor convinced me to see Nick Platko at the Center for Physical Rehabilitation at the 5060 Cascade Rd. location. Nick had been very helpful with her TMJ issue. Nick is great. Therapy doesn't work for everyone, but he made my pain issues stop. And, my chewing is much more normal. For many people in late adulthood, your muscles in your face, neck and back can throw your bite out of alignment. In my case, a few simple exercises made a dramatic difference. Nick is very personable and genuinely cares about his patients. Best of all, no surgery and no expensive bite plate. (I know, bite plates are great for people who grind their teeth. Mine did not solve my TMJ issues.) Nick has experience dealing TMJ clients, which shortened the whole therapy process for me. If you're looking for relief from TMJ issues, this is really worth a try. You can still go the surgical route if it doesn't work for you.

Working with my clinical instructor, Nick Manzer, really helped me grow as a future clinician and gain confidence in my decision-making, independence, and patient care, especially with an athletic population. CPR is a great place for PT students to do a clinical rotation. The staff is welcoming, supportive, and genuinely invested in both learning and providing high-quality care. Experiencia fantástica: My daughter plays soccer at FHN and tore her acl this past year; CPR was recommended by a family friend. Of course, we had never had to face this type of challenge before but the staff at the cascade location, specifically their Sports Academy, offered so much guidance. Throughout the whole process of her injury they were incredibly personable and took everything we said into account. She worked primarily with Bekah and then transitioned into more sport focused work with Janae, although the entire staff in their Sports Academy played a role in her return to soccer. And the relationships she built while working with the Sports Academy staff made the long journey enjoyable. Additionally, their partnership with the local high schools (FHN being one of them) allowed for easy communication between the AT, Alex, at FHN and the staff at the clinic, which was incredibly helpful. Their thorough return to sport program and testing allowed her to confidently step on the field again. Definitely recommend this phenomenal center.

Experiencia fantástica: I was having some doubt and concerns about my knee leading into the NYC marathon. I had previously had surgery on the knee and worked with The Center for Physical Rehabilitation on the initial recovery. I knew they would get me going in the right direction. I went back and worked with Bekah at Sports Academy. We did a gate analysis and started a workout program to get my knee in shape for the race. She was great and constantly gave me new challenges as focus shifted. Bekah took my concerns and feedback seriously. I don't know if I would've been as ready or able to run the marathon without her or the Sports Academy. When the starting gun was fired, I didn't have to worry about my knee and was able to just enjoy the race. Thank you for all the help and peace of mind!

Experiencia fantástica: I started PT at the center for physical rehabilitation a month after I tore my meniscus. Wasn’t very hopeful it would help. I worked with Megan who was patient and Encouraged me to do the exercises to meet my goal of avoiding surgery. After a month of working out with Megan my mobility is vastly improved and I am so happy I gave it a try!

She was very knowledgeable about post-masectomy issues, healing, and strenthening. She was comforting, kind, and effective in helping me gain range of motion and strength after surgery. Experiencia fantástica: I could not say enough great things about this place and Anna my pelvic floor therapist! At first I was hesitant to see if this could help my symptoms but first and foremost Anna was kind, an excellent listener and empathetic. Beyond that she was incredibly smart- there is no “fake it til you make it” with her job. She knew exactly what she was doing and really made sure I was a participant in my care and I got to guide the direction of our sessions. It is also easy in their world to say “you need to keep coming back” but she was up front at one point, “most of the patients with this get complete relief after one or two session.” I would not hesitate to come back!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic experience with CPR! I worked with Cheryl for hip/glute pain that began while training for a half marathon. I truly enjoyed my time with Cheryl. She’s so friendly, I was very comfortable with her. Additionally, she was quickly able to identify the root of my issues and teach me the stretching and strengthening exercises needed to eliminate my pain. She also used video gait analysis to help me find shoes that were a better fit for me. I’m very glad to have worked with her, thank you Cheryl! :)

Experiencia fantástica: I first met Melina soon after a terrible fall which left me needing physical therapy to rebuild muscle strength, improve my balance and increase stamina to be a better me. Melina is in college doing her rotation at The Center for Physical Rehabilitation when we met. Melina is calming, comforting and a good listener. She is informative about how the body works in harmony when you keep positive throughout your healing process. I especially liked how Melina was encouraging on the days I felt like I did not have it in me and then challenge me on the days when I did. She will go far and help many and I have been blessed to know her and work with her during my recovery process.

Experiencia fantástica: My clinical rotation experience (Aug-Oct 2025) as a student physical therapist (from GVSU) at The Center for Physical Rehabilitation was nothing short of amazing. My instructors - Bekah VanZegeren and Nick Manzer - provided me with learning opportunities that pushed me to grow as a future clinician in ways that I didn't expect. I not only grew in clinical knowledge but also as a person because of how great of examples and leaders they are. Nick and Bekah took me under their wings, taught me the in's and out's of sport specific rehab and I now feel the most prepared I have ever felt thus far in my schooling. I feel confident in my decision making, independence, and patient care. CPR is an incredible company for students in PT school to complete their clinical rotations at. Everyone is welcoming, kind, and the company as a whole truly understands and implements how to build up and challenge their employees and clinicians to be the best they can be. And - the environment is just a generally fun place to be:) I would gladly recommend any current or future PT students to consider completing a rotation at CPR.

The therapists I’ve worked with have the highest level of expertise and they come to each appointment prepared and committed to bringing you fully back in the shortest period of time. Maybe part of the reason this organization excels so much is they’re not hospital or physician owned; they compete in the open market; I have to think that matters. I couldn’t be more impressed and that’s not a statement I make lightly. Finally, insurance coverage has been seamless.

Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Rebekah VanZegeren in the Sports Academy for a difficult-to-define injury in my foot. I was referred by Dr. Solon, who felt that an intense stretching program might help, but as a caregiver to very elderly parents (out of state) I couldn’t commit to doing physical therapy on-site so after a thorough evaluation and gait analysis, I was given an app (Limber) and a stretching and strengthening program to do on my own. This was exactly what I needed, and I deeply appreciated how hard Rebekah worked to help me fit my program into my current schedule (rather than insisting I follow some organizational protocol). I will also say, to the folks who have given up on physical therapy as a cookie cutter approach without skilled facilitators, you should check this place out! Rebekah was super-smart, thoughtful, intuitive and flexible. She helped me figure out how to do some of the exercises with the equipment available to me in MY gym. The program I was given is top-notch and I have seen a difference already. I highly recommend The Center for Physical Rehab and in particular, Rebekah. She is a gem and I will come back again!

Experiencia fantástica: We have used Center for Physical Rehabilitation (CPR) for our physical therapy for over 20 years and have highly recommended them to all of our friends and family. We have used their PT, OT, Parkinson's and Lymphedema services. Nick and Matt got my husband through two knee replacements. He has had lasting functionality today because of their attention to scar tissue and range of motion treatments along with the usual strengthening exercises more than 10 years ago. Here we are now back again and the staff is essentially the same. That says a lot when staff chooses to stay at a work environment they enjoy. I got my chance to work with them when I had knee surgery, a back problem and a mastectomy. Ellen specializes in lymphedema and hand rehab. She has a great deal of experience to lean on and get the best results. Anna and Carolyn have been incredible working with my husband to keep him strong and balanced with his Parkinson's. CPR has a lot of Parkinson's services and classes we hadn't thought about. The vibe of the Cascade office is positive and upbeat from the time you walk in the door and are greeted by name. You can be confident you will receive state of the art care in a setting you will love at CPR. We have been to some of their other locations and professionalism, caring and positivity were evident there too. We live almost 1 hour away from the Cascade office. IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE UNQUESTIONABLY. We would give them 100 stars if Google would let us!!!!

Bekah used multiple therapies to help me feel better. She does a great job of balancing her patient load and making sure that she is giving everyone the high level of care and attention they deserve. Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Zac at the Cascade location for back/hip issues. I’m pretty active, but had a persistent back issue that would frequently give me hip pain. Zac initially gave me some really simple exercises and stretches I could do to alleviate the immediate problems, and then worked pretty quickly to find my limits and provide strength exercises to hopefully keep this problem at bay for the long term.

Nick M. was amazing and he made me feel like he truly cared about my overall well-being. Not only did he give me effective stretches to do at home, he took away a lot of the stress and anxiety I was feeling at the beginning. He's a truly stand up guy and so is everyone else at that facility.

Anna takes care of my mother…who looks forward to go to physical therapy. My dad is being treated by Chris Nawrocki and Cheryl and has improved tremendously. In addition my Dad has pool therapy with Katie. I myself was treated by Chris Nawrocki and Cheryl for many months after I had shoulder surgery. They are encouraging and your biggest cheerleader to help you get better I highly recommend The Center for Physical Rehabilitation.

Like the other PT’s I have had with this company, Mindy is thoughtful in her approach: she suggests, observes, assesses, and modifies as needed. She used progressive methods and gave me unique exercises which would affect the whole body not just the area of pain. I would see her again and I highly recommend her.

Experiencia fantástica: On April 10, 2025 I hobbled into the building in excruciating pain from my back to my foot and my foot felt like it was asleep. I was upset and panicked! Long story short….10 weeks later I am completely back to normal! No pain and the feeling in my foot came back! The PT team is amazing! A methodical process which has enabled me to continue an active lifestyle. I would highly recommend Austin and the Center for Physical Rehabilitation. We were able to have a hitting analysis done which was very helpful to make sure mechanics weren’t the cause of the shoulder injury. Now we are focusing on building strength and feel like we are in great hands!

I love that not only did my therapist walk through how to do my exercises but also sent me a link to an app with my specific exercises listed with a video to show how to do it and time and log it for me!! Wow. I was impressed. Caroline was very friendly, caring, knowledgeable and relatable.

Experiencia fantástica: I came reluctantly to the Center for Rehabilitation for an SA joint pain in my lower back. I had hoped for a quicker solution because the pain was so sharp. Paige McCarthy helped me reset my expectations! She was competent, confident and so positive! With massage & exercises my pain was pretty quickly relieved and got better each week. Paige encouraged me to keep up with my exercises at home and got me to a point where I could gradually return to my regular walking plan. I looked forward to my PT as each week my pain was reduced. Paige’s demeanor was always a great balance between conversational and professional. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She made my PT enjoyable and it was certainly effective. All the rest of the staff was also friendly and efficient. Loved this place.

My job puts a lot of stress on my upper back and right arm, and in about 3 months, my pain and mobility have improved a ton. Ben did a good job explaining different massages and stretches to help me manage muscle tenseness and stuff going forward as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Brian’s patience, wisdom, positivity and holistic approach were just what I needed. He helped me to identify some causes of my pain and then helped me find a slowly-but-surely path to identify the right exercises and pace for my body to heal and strengthen. I loved having additional tools of dry needling and a personal trainer in house as well. Would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Nick and Adam worked with a knee issue that I thought was going to be a permanent problem, but after around six weeks of physical therapy with them, my knee is completely back to normal! No pain medications or other interventions were needed! I highly recommend this facility and it’s staff!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in after a tibial stress reaction, hoping to regain strength and receive guidance to get back on my feet with running and playing soccer. Beckah was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, meeting me where I was and progressively reintroducing me to the strength and energy demands of those activities. I am now back to running and playing soccer without ANY pain, thanks to her help!

Experiencia fantástica: I really cannot begin to say how wonderful, helpful, and encouraging my experience was At The Center For Physical Rehabilitation in Jenison. From the pleasant girls at the front desk; in my case, most often, Nancy greeted me with a smile and encouragement! My Physical Therapist Dustin was excellent, from helping diagnose, and explaining my issues with the pain in my foot, knee, and into my hip when walking. Not only did he provide relief, stretching, and strengthening exercises, he made sure I was walking without pain when I left, and gave me the tools and exercises to keep me moving without pain! Please know I would 100% recommend The Center For Physical Rehabilitation and my PT Dustin!!!

Experiencia fantástica: After experiencing a fall last summer and having significant hip and leg pain, I worked with CPR, specifically with Rachel Mast at their Cascade Rd location. Rachel was amazing! So patient and kind as we worked for 3+ months to reach a point where my pain was so significantly decreased that the few intermittent instances I was experiencing were manageable. CPR has been wonderful whenever I have needed PT for various problems over numerous years, and Rachel was exactly the therapist I needed! I highly recommend her!

The quality of care for their patients is excellent as well as you not only feel better physically but also mentally! All the therapists are very kind and are willing to help whenever needed! My therapist Bekah helped give me a great experience! She is amazing and knows exactly what she’s doing and how to help, not only did I have great progressive after my surgery but also learned a lot of tips and how to take care of myself at home from Bekah! It’s also nice that the therapists love and take the time to get you know and are interested in your life! I hope everyone who attends in the future has as great of an experience as I did!

Experiencia fantástica: Very satisfied with the PT I received for an area of my back that was painful. Nick and Patrick figured out what the issue was and got me going on exercises for that particular area. I continue doing the exercises at home and do not have that particular pain anymore. Highly recommend!

I have been pleased with each and every therapist I have worked with. They are very result driven, but also compassionate and understanding. Experiencia fantástica: CPR on Cascade Road has always provided me an excellent rehabilitation program for over 20 years. The assigned staff is well-versed in the issue requiring rehabilitation and the facility is clean and very well equipped.

Experiencia fantástica: I was so pleased with my treatment at this rehab center. Not only did they work with me until my pain was relieved they also educated me about the need to be more active with all parts of my body. I am now attending classes for mobility and balance. I was just accepting my limitations because of my age and did not realize that I could make serious improvements by learning new activities. My therapist Cheryl Anderson was very encouraging and confronted my beliefs without offending. The class instructors are also encouraging and challenging in a positive way. I am so glad I found this place and have shared my experience with my friends. It seems that I am winning more Euchre tournaments too although that may be a coincidence.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience with The Center For Rehabilitation team! I was coming from another center that wasn't producing the results I was hoping for. After I made the switch to this location I made great gains in treatment. My Physical Therapist Patrick did an excellent job. He was thoughtful and specific with the care. He was friendly and answered all the questions I had (I had more than a few and he was kind enough to answer them in detail). I found it to be an tremendous help and I was able to return to full mobility and exercise. I'm very thankful for Patrick and the team here. I can't say enough good things about them. If you need physical therapy I highly recommend The Center For Physical Rehabilitation.

Experiencia fantástica: Working with the Sports Academy downstairs has been an amazing experience! They took the time to rehab me after surgery not to just walking, but to doing endurance sports again. Great attention to detail and to my specific sports goals. It was also cool to watch them work diligently with other athletes from different sports backgrounds too. Highly, highly recommended for any serious athlete!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about The Center for Physical Rehabilitation! Brian Gilbert has helped me recover from 4 surgeries. I just completed PT following a knee surgery and I feel great. Last summer he even figured out a nerve issue in my neck that was causing chest pain that mimicked a heart attack. The doctors were stumped and ordered countless tests. He had me feeling better within two visits. He is a miracle worker.

Each employee from the front of house to the back are the kindest people to be with. Experiencia fantástica: This is the 3rd time I’ve been here for treatment and I cannot recommend CPR highly enough! Brian Gilbert is my primary therapist. He consistently provides explanations starting with the first visit and it continues throughout treatment. My questions and concerns are answered and I feel that they take in a wholistic view with their clients vs. treating just a knee or shoulder etc. Much appreciated! Shoutout as well to Allie and Ben who are a part of my treatment team as well. I have referred others here and will continue to enthusiastically do so. I am updating my original review as I finished another round of therapy for my back in July. I actually started in with Brian and PT before I had been seen by my ortho doctor. He developed a plan of care for me which helped me greatly and improved on the pain I was experiencing. I really can’t say anything different than I did in my original post. The care is phenomenal! Wholistic care as I said before. My home plan is easy for me to follow. I know I can call or text Brian with any questions or concerns I have. Wholeheartedly recommend CPR for your PT needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience working with Rebekah VanZegeren for a bike fit and cycling related pain! As a former physical therapist myself, I specifically sought out Bekah because I wanted to work with someone who has thorough understanding of the human body and its mechanics as it relates to cycling (not just another run of the mill bike shop employee). Bekah’s bike fit was extremely thorough and there were numerous changes we implemented right away. She took the time to really understand what was going on biomechanically and knew exactly what to change based on what I was feeling on the bike. She also provided me with a thorough home exercise program with ideas of how to progress each exercise to ensure continued challenge. I would highly recommend Bekah for anyone who has cycling related pain and is looking a top notch bike fit!
