Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been dealing with knee pain for a long time, and I came to Propel on the recommendation of my orthopedic doctor. I’m incredibly grateful for that referral. I worked with Dr. Angel Ortiz and Dr. Rafa Portuondo, and I can’t say enough about them. Angel is an exceptional professional who quickly identified the root cause of my knee pain. In a short time, I was able to return to playing sports at 100%. Not only did he help eliminate my pain, but he also took the time to educate me and explain why I had been experiencing the issue in the first place. After fully recovering, Angel and the team continued working with me on strengthening and conditioning, designing the right exercises to help me improve and excel in my sport. I’ve been to many physical therapy clinics before, but nothing comes close to the level of detail, care, and attention I’ve received at Propel. If you’re active and dealing with an injury, or simply looking for high-quality strengthening and conditioning sessions, I can't recommend Propel Physical Therapy enough.

All of our sessions truly helped me reach the finish line and helped get my body in the position to run the marathon. We are back now for round two and I can say his deep tissue work is beyond words. For the past 6 weeks, I have been coming in for my sessions and I am so glad I found them! From the very start, it was easy to schedule my initial evaluation as the front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating ensuring I can see the doctor at a time that works best with my work schedule. Before the therapies I was unable to use me left ankle to play tennis, run sprint, jump or anything. After 12 therapies, I feel great and now my left ankle is now my strong ankle which is great. In addition to that, Dr Jonathan Alicea is a great guy, He knows what he is doing and knew exactly what I had and what exercises I needed. Everybody Propel is very nice, Angel, Sarah. Experiencia negativa: **Unexpected Charges** I'm writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent experience at Propel (Doral). On my very first visit (for an evaluation), I specifically asked to clarify my financial responsibility before proceeding with any services. The staff contacted my insurance and assured me that my copayment would be $20 per session. Based on that information, I agreed to continue and paid the $20 copay at the time. However, at my next session, I was informed that the copayment was not $20, but $60 per session—triple the original amount. No one contacted me in advance to notify me of this change, which would have given me the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether I could continue treatment under the new terms. As a result, I canceled my upcoming sessions to give myself time to clarify the situation with my insurance provider. To my surprise, the following day, I received an invoice for an additional $40—to retroactively adjust the copay for the initial evaluation session. I spoke with Angel (the manager) to express my concerns, but unfortunately, the charges were not reversed. Despite being given inaccurate information at the outset, I was still held financially responsible for your team’s error. This is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. The appropriate course of action in such a situation would have been to acknowledge the mistake, notify the patient promptly, and honor the original quote for services already rendered. Charging patients retroactively due to your own miscommunication creates a misleading and untrustworthy environment. Because of this experience, we will no longer recommend this facility to others.

Over four months, I worked with Doctors Angel, Mario, and Jose, at the Doral location and they were all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks to them I’ve learned a lot to prevent future injuries and I’m finally back in the gym, pain free! A special shoutout to the front desk staff for always being so flexible with my crazy schedule. Highly recommend!

The staff is wonderful as they are welcoming, professional, and care about their patients on achieving a healthy recovery. The relationships they create with their patients permits patients to confidently articulate any progress and pain they may feel, which also allows for a better treatment. As an observational student, I am able to witness this specialized care firsthand. In addition, the physical therapists are the best mentors I could have asked for as I have learned so much ranging from patient care to exercise knowledge. They kindly and openly explain any questions I may have concerning exercises or therapy which allows for an even better learning experience.
