Negative experience: 1) Dr. Rubin charges $95 for the initial appointment because, according to him, the insurance doesn't pay him, when the patients only have to pay the co-pay. He has a contract with the insurance companies that he is breaking, and in this situation, he reacted very defensively. 2) I took the MRI and the X-rays to him, he only read what was written in the report and didn't look at the images, he said I think what you have is XYZ, and he moved my rib cage to the point that after two months, I am in more pain in the area that he manipulated than before.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rubin is the sixth Chiropractor I have seen for the back pain I have suffered for 2 years. The others did not ease my pain so I kept searching. The day after seeing Dr. Rubin for the first time, the majority of my pain was gone...and l do mean GONE! Now the only time I have pain is when I over-do it, like moving furniture, scrubbing floors, etc. I am so close to completely being back to my healthy self and it is a marvelous feeling. Thank you so much, Dr. Rubin for what you have accomplished with my back.

Fantastic experience: I have black mold poisoning. All the doctors I saw told me that there was nothing they could do to help. Dr Rubin started me with the hyperbaric chamber, red light therapy and a total body cleanse. It has been a month and I am starting to feel so much better!! Not only is he the best chiropractor I have ever had but other doctors say there is nothing they can do, Dr Rubin will find a way!!

Fantastic experience: TRY SPINAL DECOMPRESSION BEFORE BACK SURGURY Rheumatoid Arthritis L5-S1 herniated disc. This impacted Cauda Equina nerve bundle (crippling sciatica, bowel movements restricted). Dr Rubin before treatment was able to manipulate my body to restore toe/foot muscle contraction and instantly show how good I could feel after a series of decompression sessions with home PT to strengthen and protect. I was SOLD! I chose his practice for the spinal decompression DX9000. I can walk, drive, and dress normally again. Confirmed repair without need for surgery. 2 times weekly approximately 12 sessions undertaken. A genuinely compassionate Human Being & Doctor.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal care. Best chiropractor I've ever been to. We travel to him from northern Pinellas. I've been going to Rubin for over 12 years. Right after I started care with him my mother and I were in a car accident and he got us both back to feeling better. Now I bring my daughter in for adjustments so we have 3 generations being taken care of by Doc Rubin.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Rubin after dealing with a low back injury. For most of my adult life, I have had issues with injuring my low back during exercise. During my first visit, Dr. Rubin did an assessment and immediately pointed out some issues with muscular imbalance. He was asking questions about my posture and if I tended to favor one side over the other while sitting. Everything he said made sense, and it really clicked for me as to what some of the root causes of my issue might be. He recommended I purchase a kneeling chair - and not one that he was selling. This really impressed me, here he is offering a product that he makes no money off of to potentially address my issues. He also sent me a list of stretches to increase my core strength. Following his guidance on the kneeling chair and stretches, I noticed a marked difference in the following few weeks. I normally had a lot of left hip tightness that had started to ease up. I started noticing that I did not pinch left when doing squats and my core was getting less fatigued during squats and deadlifts. I am truly grateful for his advice and his holistic approach. He could have just as easily performed some low back adjustments and called it a day. Instead, he offered me knowledge and tools to empower me to reduce the likelihood of future injuries, and I am very happy about that.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Rubin Health Center since 2006. I have occasional back pain or stiffness, mostly from sleeping wrong (eyeroll) Do Rubin has never failed to find exactly where the issue was, and adjusted me back to good. Now I have a very painful frozen shoulder and Doc is making quick work of helping me recover full range of motion. Along with absolutely terrific massage by Jonathan, Hester, or Gage, I have never felt better. Doc and company help keep me in the saddle. GO!

Fantastic experience: I started going to Dr. Rubin 13 years ago. At the time, I was in pain management for neck and back injuries. The pills didn't solve the underlying issue and I was looking for a real solution. Within two weeks, I no longer needed the oxycodone. After another two months of treatment, I stopped taking tramadol. I see Dr. Rubin every couple of months for maintenance. When I have new problems, Dr. Rubin will let me know if he can fix the issue. He is the best chiropractor out there.

Positive experience: EDIT: Dr. Rubin and his employee personally called me to apologize for this situation and ensured I was taken care of. I appreciate that level of accountability, though it shouldn't take a poor Google review for it to happen. I went for a consult to see Dr. Rubin, and he was very kind and helpful in providing explanation of services and even provided a short adjustment treatment. Ultimately that should not have been allowed because I had not signed any papers nor was in there system, but I thought it was kind in the moment, but nonetheless a liability issue. Then I returned the next day to a scheduled appointment where it was clear they were double booked and they provided another doctor to me without consent. I was thankful that I liked this doctor, but the session felt rushed and I was only in there for 20 minutes and I was charged $355. On multiple occasions and formats, I have attempted to get explanation of why these charges were on my bill but I have been ignored and disrespected throughout the process in this communication. For a first time session, nor really any session, especially when that was only 20 minutes long it should not have cost this astronomical amount. I have consulted many different professionals in this industry and they all corroborate that this is very inappropriate. Especially because I cannot get explanation of the charges. While I thought the services were fine, I would absolutely not return nor would recommend this practice to anybody given the over billing and disrespect when questioning it.

Their staff are all so nice, the facility is clean, it’s in a convenient location, they have 2 parking lots, and they have a ton of different equipment. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr. Rubin highly enough! To my surprise, I found out my baby was breech late in the third trimester. I was anxious and desperate to avoid a C-section, so I turned to chiropractic care on the advice of my OB. From my very first visit, I felt completely at ease with Dr. Rubin. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explained every step of the process, and tailored each session to my needs. The care and expertise were evident in every adjustment. Amazingly, after just a few visits, my baby turned head-down! I am overjoyed and so relieved. Not only did Dr. Rubin help with the breech position, but I’ve also felt the best I ever have at the end of pregnancy—and this is my 3rd baby. Negative experience: The below review was after the first visit, but I have to revise the rewiew after a second visit. We subsequently cancelled all further appointments with him. His report after the second visit listed injuries and symptoms that were not applicable to my husband. He clearly was confusing him with another patient, which is unacceptable At that second appointment, Dr. Rubin was scattered and confused. He stated my husband should not have his neck cracked due to the nature of his injury. When my husband pointed out that Dr. Rubin had in fact cracked his neck at the first visit, he seemed surprised, and did not offer comment. There was also an overbilling issue, which we did eventually get rectified. In our opinion, this guy needs to retire.before he does harm. After first visit: Dr. Rubin was amazing, helping my husband get everything back in alignment and freeing up his muscles after a very bad fall. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent. Also very nice to interact with, and his staff are great too.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Dr. Rubin's for over 2 years now and I'm so thankful to have found him. When I first came to his office, I was suffering from neck, shoulder and lower back pain and overall, just feeling misaligned. Desperate for some relief, I thought I'd give chiro a try. Despite being nervous as I'd never had chiropractic care, his front desk was super sweet and responsive in getting me scheduled. Dr. Rubin was thorough in his assessment and compassionate in his communication. Seeing how he went about my treatment plan, it was clear that he genuinely cared about his patients' wellbeing. In that one session, Dr. Rubin provided me with immediate relief. But more importantly, he worked with me to identify the cause of my issues and provided a sustainable recovery plan. He advised me on my anterior tilt and gave me exercises to strengthen my hips and core. Following his plan has helped me alleviate the stress placed on my lower back and i no longer feel as much tension in my shoulders. Chiro in itself didn't change my life. It's the understanding and holistic approach that Dr. Rubin provided that did. I've since been able to increase my strength training and live a more active lifestyle. For anyone on the fence about seeing a chiro, this is your sign. Go. Your future self will thank you.

Negative experience: I do not recommend Dr Rubin, particularly to women. During my appointment, I felt very uncomfortable with the way he interacted with me. When I shared that I take medication for anxiety, he asked, "Why do you have anxiety?" and proceeded to tell me that if I just read a book he recommended, I wouldn’t have anxiety anymore. I found this incredibly inappropriate and dismissive—mental health is personal, and it’s not his place to make those kinds of comments. Additionally, despite me expressing that I was more comfortable sitting in a chair with some distance, he insisted I sit in the chair closest to him while he stood over me. As a woman patient with a male provider, this dynamic felt uncomfortable and disregarded my personal boundaries. Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling unsettled and disrespected. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice, especially to women seeking a safe and supportive environment.

Fantastic experience: My patient loyalty with Dr. Rubin began in 2017 when I was studying for the bar exam and had a bike accident, I was so locked up in between my shoulder blades and frustrated - I was dealing with chronic pain that seemed unreachable. Dr. Rubin was investigative, kind, patient, helpful, legit, knowledgeable, and healing. I’ve been visiting his health center ever since for all of my ailments. I get cured every time so I only need to come back when I’ve suffered an injury, and they always are so reasonable and care about all of their patients! First off, he does great adjustments and has top notch massage therapists with really good pricing. From cold laser to cryo therapy, traction to acupuncture and supplements, Pilates and physical therapy this is the most comprehensive recovery, rehab and general maintenance practice I’ve ever experienced. Lastly, if he’s good enough for the US Olympic team, he’s definitely good enough for the rest of us.

Fantastic experience: This place is AMAZING!!! We are on vacation and I was really struggling with neck pain from a surgery and foot pain. My husband didn't want me struggling on vacation so he called around looking for someone that could get me in for ART. Dr. Karn was absolutely wonderful! Fantastic experience: Needed a same day appt, since my low back was tweaked from a massage therapist. I was in so much pain, could barely walk, or touch my feet. Jonathan who gave me my massage is very knowledgeable as it relates to the skeletal body. I went there feeling painful and left feeling painless. I hopped and skipped out from the office.
